Pedestrian Struck and Killed by SUV in Yucca Valley

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A female pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV in Yucca Valley, The Press-Enterprise reported. The fatal incident occurred at 6:38 p.m. Wednesday when a Chevy Yukon driven by 33-year-old Carla McChristian of Yucca Valley, hit Linda Dingman, 52, of Yucca Valley, while she was attempting to cross Highway 247. Authorities are currently investigating the accident and asks anyone with information regarding this devastating collision to contact the Sheriff's Department at (760)366-4175.

Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Cars in Yucca Valley

Highway 62 at Geronimo Trails.pngSAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A pedestrian was fatally injured while crossing the Highway 62 at Geronimo Trail, The Press-Enterprise reports. The accident happened in the city of Yucca Valley at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday when the pedestrian was struck by a three vehicles. The cars that struck the pedestrian was a 2011 Infinity SUV and a 1987 Mazda pickup truck. However, the third vehicle was not identified due to fleeing the scene.

Following the collision, the pedestrian, Deborah Ann Gerdes, 54, of Yucca Valley, died at the scene accident. If anyone has information regarding this incident or the driver that may be involved please contact the San Bernardino Sheriff's Morongo Basin station at 760-366-4175.

Cause of the Pedestrian Accident on Highway 62

The accident on November 5th remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
