Man Killed in Ontario Industrial Accident

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY - A 48-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was tragically killed in an industrial accident Friday morning, San Bernardino County Sun reports. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the BMW Training Center in the 1100 block of South Dupont Avenue in Ontario. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's Department, Phillip Weeks was changing the fluorescent emergency ballast system in the attic of the lobby when he was electrocuted. Weeks was reported to have died at the scene. Cal OSHA, the Ontario Police Department, and the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office are investigating this dreadful incident.

24-Year-Old Woman Struck and Injured in Ontario

Montain Avenue and Hollowell Street - Ontario.pngSAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A 24-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a vehicle Tuesday night in Ontario, The Press-Enterprise reported. The accident happened just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, when a vehicle going northbound on Mountain Avenue struck the female pedestrian as she attempted to cross the road at Hollowell Street. The driver of the vehicle chose to flee the scene immediately following the collision. A witness described the vehicle as possibly a smaller model SUV with front-end damage. Man Fatally Struck by Car in Ontario

Hellman Ave and Francis St - Ontario.pngSAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A 56-year-old Florida trucker was fatally struck by a car on Friday, The Press-Enterprise reports. The trucker, James Frederik Kuhr, parked his big-rig on Francis Street and attempted to cross the roadway before being struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero making a left turn from Hellman Avenue onto Francis Street. Following this devastating incident, Kuhr was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Ontario, where he later died at about 12:46 p.m. Tuesday.

Cause of the Pedestrian Accident in Ontario

The accident on November 11th remains under investigation by the Ontario Police Department.
