LAKE ELSINORE - A male pedestrian very tragically died Tuesday night after he was hit by a car in Lake Elsinore, the Valley News reported. The May 2nd accident was reported about 10:15 p.m. on Lake Street, about a half-mile west of Interstate 15. According to the news report, the unidentified pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the accident. He reportedly had been wearing dark clothing and may been wearing ear buds. Ortega Highway Crash Injures Two in Lake Elsinore

RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- Two people sustained critical injuries yesterday afternoon when the vehicle they were traveling in plunged off a highway in Lake Elsinore. Information provided by The Valley News and The Press-Enterprise indicated the crash happened at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday, when the two occupants riding in an antique military vehicle went 150 feet over the side of Ortega Highway, also known as State Route 74. The woman inside the vehicle was airlifted to a hospital with leg and shoulder injuries. The man was also taken to a hospital via ground ambulance for further treatment. CHP investigators did not report any possible factors that could have prompted this terrible April 3rd wreck.

One Killed, Four Injured on Ortega Highway Crash in Lake Elsinore

RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A Lake Elsinore single vehicle crash killed one person and injured three last night. Lake-Elsinore-Wildomar Patch reported the accident happened Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. when the driver of a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling west "at a high rate of speed" on state Route 74 and lost control causing the vehicle to rollover.

Roughly one minute after the crash, a 1999 Toyota Tacoma going east struck the F-150. However, the driver of the Tacoma was not injured in the collision. The driver of the F-150, 21-year-old Delbert Parada, and three of his four passengers were taken to a hospital with moderate to minor injuries. The fourth passenger, 20-year-old Zachary Butcher, was reported to have died at the scene. CHP officers at the scene believe alcohol may not have been a factor in the collision.

Man Hit and Killed by SUV in Lake Elsinore

RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A 61-year-old man died from his injuries early this morning after he was hit by an SUV while crossing a street in Lake Elsinore, Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner reported. The pedestrian, Gabriel Lopez of Lake Elsinore, was struck while he was attempting to cross at the Grand Avenue and Shoreline Drive intersection around 8:25 p.m. Monday.

After the pedestrian accident, the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and aided Lopez before paramedics arrived. Lopez was then taken to a hospital where he tragically died while undergoing surgery. The Press-Enterprise reported the driver, whose name was not released, was not cited by authorities.

Skateboarder Injured in Lake Elsinore Hit-and-Run Accident

RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A 19-year-old skateboarder was seriously struck by hit-and-run driver on Saturday in Lake Elsinore, The Press-Enterprise reports. The horrible incident happened at about 6:48 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive at Avenue 6. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's, the skateboarder was struck from behind by a light-colored, lowered Honda vehicle with front-end damage. The skateboarder, whose name was not released, suffered major head injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

UPDATE: Based on updated news reports given by The Press-Enterprise, the skateboarder involved in this tragic hit-and-run, died from his injuries New Years Day. He was later identified by the Riverside County coroner's office as Gerardo Garcia.

The accident occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, when for unknown reasons the vehicle struck a tree on Riverside Drive and Robertson Street. According to the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Patch, investigators could not identify the driver of the vehicle, and have come a conclusion that the driver may have fled the scene of the accident. However, after the crash, at least three individuals were transported with minor to life-threatening injuries.

One Killed, Two Injured in Highway 74 Motorcycle Crash in Lake Elsinore

The accident occurred at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday, when William James Kaucky, 39, of Anaheim, was reported to be traveling east at a high speed on his 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and then for unknown reasons, he drove off the opposite side of the road and struck an embankment. The impact of the collision caused Kaucky to be thrown off his bike and into the eastbound lane where he was hit by another motorcycle, driven by a 44-year-old man from Riverside. This collision then caused the Riverside man to be thrown off his 2007 Suzuki.

Following the second collision, a third motorcyclist in a 2011 Honda, was able to avoid this accident when he laid down his bike as he was approaching the crash. According to authorities, Kaucky died at the scene, the Riverside man sustained major injuries and was transported to Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar, and the 22-year-old was treated for abrasions.

Three People Hurt in Lake Elsinore Pickup Truck Rollover

According to a Riverside County Sheriff's news release, the single-vehicle accident occurred at 2:24 a.m. on Holland Road near Annas Lane. The truck was reportedly travelling at a high rate of speed when the 21-year-old Nuevo woman driving the vehicle lost control. The truck overturned and the driver, along with a 30-year-old Nuevo man and a24-year-old Canyon Lake woman, were injured. All three were taken to Inland Regional Medical Center for treatment. The cause of the Lake Elsinore car accident remains under investigation.

Homeland Man Killed in Lake Elsinore Motorcycle Accident

LAKE ELSINORE - A Homeland man was tragically killed Friday night when he crashed his motorcycle in Lake Elsinore, the Southwest Riverside News Network reported. The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Railroad Canyon Road near Grape Street on Friday, June 17, 2011. According to news accounts, Baltazar Arroyos, 50, was riding eastbound on Railroad Canyon Road when he lost control of the bike about a half-mile west of Church Street and was ejected. Despite wearing a helmet, he died of his injuries at the scene of the crash. The Lake Elsinore Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the Riverside County motorcycle accident.

Lake Elsinore Cyclist Dies Weeks After Being Struck by Car

A 52-year-old Lake Elsinore man who was struck by a car last month has died, the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner reported May 9th. The cyclist, Michael Padilla, was struck by a mid-size 4-door gray Mitsubishi sedan as he rode across Riverside Drive north of Lincoln Street in Lake Elsinore. The accident occurred last month on Saturday, April 17th , shortly before 3:30 p.m. Padilla suffered major injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Hospital where he reportedly underwent major surgery. He died at the hospital early Sunday, May 9th.

Driver Killed, Passenger Critically Injured in Toyota Pickup Truck Rollover Crash in Lake Elsinore

The Lake Elsinore Police Department is asking the public for information about a crash Sunday evening on Summerhill Drive, the road leading to the Tuscany Hills Community. The female driver, identified only as a Murrieta resident, died after she apparently lost control of her pickup truck in rainy conditions about 150 feet northwest of the intersection of Summerhill Drive and Canyon Ridge shortly after 5 p.m.

According to reports in the Valley News, the woman was travelling west on Summerhill when her truck struck a curb and rolled down a steep embankment. The driver was ejected and died at the scene of the crash. A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. The cause of the Riverside County accident remains under investigation. Witnesses or anyone with information about the solo-vehicle rollover crash is asked to call Sgt.
