Four Injured in Indio Car Accident
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A horrible two-car crash in Indio left four people hospitalized Sunday night, Desert Sun reports. The accident occurred on Avenue 50 near Monroe Street and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Jeep Liberty. However, it was immediately known what caused the crash or who may be at fault.
Following the 11:15 p.m. accident, two of the four people involved in the crash had to be extricated from their vehicles. A man in the Toyota was taken to Eisenhower Medical Center with major injuries. A woman who was also in the vehicle sustained serious injures and was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center. The occupants in the Jeep - a man and a woman - suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Eisenhower Medical Center for further treatment.

All eight of them were taken to a hospital for further treatment. No other information was given on how this horrible accident occurred.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A 63-year-old woman from Riverside died after she apparently fell from a sixth-floor balcony at a downtown assisted-living center, The Press-Enterprise reported. The accident happened at about 7 a.m. Sunday along the side yard of the Riverside Plymouth Tower Care and Living Center, which is located on the 3400 block of Lemon Street. Investigators are currently trying to determine whether the woman fell or jumped off the balcony. According to Southwest Riverside News Network, the woman identified as Marlee Brothers, died at the scene at 7:38 a.m.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A 62-year-old woman was seriously struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night while she was attempting to cross a Moreno Valley street, The Press-Enterprise reported. The 6:15 p.m. accident took place at the intersection of Heacock Street and Kernwood Drive when the woman, whose name was not stated, was hit by a vehicle traveling north on Heacock. The woman suffered severe head injuries and broken bones after the collision.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A 40-year-old tow-truck operator was struck be a hit-and-run driver on the 91 Freeway in Riverside, The Press-Enterprise reports. The accident happened at about 2 a.m. Saturday, when Christopher Tatro, of Corona, was hit by a tan sedan while he was assisting a disabled vehicle on the side of the freeway.
