Huntington Beach Car Crash Kills One and Injures Three
ORANGE COUNTY - A dreadful morning accident in the city of Huntington Beach left one person dead and three others injured, including a 7-month-old baby, The Orange County Register reports. The collision happened just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the driver of a Ford Bronco lost control of his vehicle on the northbound lanes of Bolsa Chica Street, crossed through the center divider and into the southbound lanes, and struck a silver Honda. A third vehicle traveling south on the left lane was involved as it crashed into the wreck.
After the accident, one person was killed in the collision and two of three surviving victim sustained minor injures and were taken to a local hospital. But the third, a 7-month-old baby, suffered critical injuries and was also taken to a hospital for treatment. It was not said which cars the victims were riding in. Their names were not released and the three-car collision is being investigated by the Huntington Beach Police Department.

ORANGE COUNTY - According to The Orange County Register, a 79-year-old bicyclist was fatally injured after he was hit by a sedan Wednesday morning. The male bicyclist was reported to be struck by a 2009 BMW at the intersection of Bolsa and Able Lane in Huntington Beach just after 11:15 a.m.
ORANGE COUNTY - A 77-year-old male pedestrian in Huntington Beach was fatally struck by a vehicle just before 6:15 p.m. Monday, Orange County Register reported. The incident took place on Beach Boulevard north of Indianapolis Avenue when a vehicle hit the pedestrian while he was attempting to cross the street. The pedestrian, identified as Leslie Cushing of Huntington Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stopped and remained at the scene of this tragic accident, yet no information was released on whether the driver was cited or arrested.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a pickup truck in Huntington Beach on Tuesday. According to the Orange County Register, the accident happened at 1:50 p.m. on Brookhurst Street just south of Adams Avenue when a man driving a 1982 Chevrolet Silverado struck the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, Juan Espejel, 25, of Tustin was reported to have died at the scene following the collision.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A total of eight people were injured following a boat explosion in Huntington Beach, Los Angeles Times reported. This horrific incident took place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Huntington Harbor, when the operator of the boat noticed gasoline leaking and decided to turn back. However, during the attempt to head back to shore, the engine sputtered and exploded, causing several passengers to be thrown from the boat.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A pedestrian in Huntington Beach was severely killed while crossing the street, Orange County Register reports. The accident happened at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday, when the pedestrian, whose name was not released, was struck by a car while crossing Beach Boulevard between Edinger Avenue and Stark Drive. Following the collision, the 48-year-old pedestrian man was reported to have tragically died at the scene.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A two-car collision in Huntington Beach left a woman killed and a man seriously injured on Saturday, Los Angeles Times reported. The accident happened at about 9:35 a.m. on Adams Avenue at Bushard Street, when a 2002 Honda was broadsided by a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The occupants in the Honda was an 86-year-old man, and his passenger, Esther Kumasaka, 82, of Huntington Beach.
ORANGE COUNTY -- In the city of Huntington Beach, a 68-year-old pedestrian woman sustained serious injuries after she was struck by an oncoming vehicle, Orange County Register reports. The accident occurred at about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection at Yorktown Avenue and England Street. Huntington Beach police Lt. Mike Reynolds indicated the driver of a Toyota sedan was traveling west on Yorktown before hitting the woman with her vehicle. Following this devastating collision, the pedestrian was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of her injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A 96-year-old-woman tragically died and others sustained injuries following a five-vehicle car crash in Huntington Beach, CBS Los Angeles News reports. The accident occurred just before 11:40 a.m. Friday, at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Bushard Street, when a 2005 Mercedes Benz on the roadway stalled and became stranded in traffic. Three vehicles managed to stop behind the vehicle, however, for unknown reasons the driver of a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor failed to stop and slammed into the column of cars. Following this terrible accident, six people were transported to various hospitals for further treatment. The 96-year-old woman, identified as Ruth Brown, was a passenger in the stalled Mercedes Benz. According to the OC Register, Brown died a short time later at UCI Medical Center due to her injuries.
