Huntington Beach Car Crash Kills One and Injures Three

The collision happened just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the driver of a Ford Bronco lost control of his vehicle on the northbound lanes of Bolsa Chica Street, crossed through the center divider and into the southbound lanes, and struck a silver Honda. A third vehicle traveling south on the left lane was involved as it crashed into the wreck.

After the accident, one person was killed in the collision and two of three surviving victim sustained minor injures and were taken to a local hospital. But the third, a 7-month-old baby, suffered critical injuries and was also taken to a hospital for treatment. It was not said which cars the victims were riding in. Their names were not released and the three-car collision is being investigated by the Huntington Beach Police Department.

79-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck and Killed in Huntington Beach

The male bicyclist was reported to be struck by a 2009 BMW at the intersection of Bolsa and Able Lane in Huntington Beach just after 11:15 a.m.

Following the tragic accident, the bicyclist identified as Ernest Klein of Westminster, was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The BMW driver, a 23-year-old Long Beach man, stopped and remained at the scene to speak to police. According to the Orange County Register, the accident happened at 1:50 p.m. on Brookhurst Street just south of Adams Avenue when a man driving a 1982 Chevrolet Silverado struck the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, Juan Espejel, 25, of Tustin was reported to have died at the scene following the collision.

The accident happened at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday, when the pedestrian, whose name was not released, was struck by a car while crossing Beach Boulevard between Edinger Avenue and Stark Drive. Following the collision, the 48-year-old pedestrian man was reported to have tragically died at the scene.

One Killed and Another Severely Injured in Huntington Beach Car Crash

The accident happened at about 9:35 a.m. on Adams Avenue at Bushard Street, when a 2002 Honda was broadsided by a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The occupants in the Honda was an 86-year-old man, and his passenger, Esther Kumasaka, 82, of Huntington Beach.

Following this tragic accident, the female passenger, Kumasaka, was reported to have died at the scene. And the driver of the Honda, was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. The Huntington Beach police are investigating the cause of the collision.

One Killed, Several Injured in Huntington Beach Car Accident

The accident occurred just before 11:40 a.m. Friday, at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Bushard Street, when a 2005 Mercedes Benz on the roadway stalled and became stranded in traffic. Three vehicles managed to stop behind the vehicle, however, for unknown reasons the driver of a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor failed to stop and slammed into the column of cars. Following this terrible accident, six people were transported to various hospitals for further treatment. The 96-year-old woman, identified as Ruth Brown, was a passenger in the stalled Mercedes Benz. According to the OC Register, Brown died a short time later at UCI Medical Center due to her injuries.

The accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Monday, when a father and his two children, who are 1- and 3-years-old, were crossing at a Huntington Beach intersection when a motorist making a left turn onto northbound Edwards Street struck them. According to Huntington Beach police Lt. Mike Reynolds, the driver possibly did not see the pedestrians as they walked in a crosswalk at a four-way stop. The impact of the collision caused the father and the 1-year-old infant to sustain minor injuries and bruises as they rolled over the hood of the car. The collision also caused the vehicle to go on top of the 3-year-old toddler's tricycle. The toddler was wearing a safety helmet and suffered injuries, but the specificity of those injuries were not immediately available.
