Huntington Park Man Killed in Downey Motorcycle Accident; Driver Arrested
A 23-year-old Huntington Park man riding a motorcycle was tragically killed early Friday morning when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that ran a red light in Downey, the Long Beach Press Telegram reported. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and Florence Avenue, Police reported. The driver of the 2001 GMC pickup truck, a 31-year-old Los Angeles man, was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving. The pickup truck, travelling east on Florence Avenue, struck the motorcycle, which was traveling southbound on Paramount Boulevard. The name of the victim and the driver were not immediately released.
