The Saturday accident happened at 5:20 p.m. on San Bernardino Road and Vincent Avenue, and involved two vehicles - a Honda Ridgeline and a Chevrolet Impalla.

According to authorities at the scene, a vehicle traveling east and another vehicle going west collided at the intersection when one of those vehicles was attempting to make left turn. Following the collision, the Honda veered onto the sidewalk and hit the woman and family that were waiting to cross the street.

The woman killed in this horrendous accident was later identified as Yendi Galena, 33, of Covina. The other pedestrians struck were her 7-month-old child in the stroller, Galena's mother, and two teenage boys. The two boys were not injured after the crash. According to 89.3 KPPC, a large station wagon driven by an 82-year-old woman plowed into a crowd of people and into a dental office at the 6800 block of North White Oak Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

LAPD Capt. John Egan indicated the elderly driver tried to avoid another vehicle making a left turn in the roadway, when she then veered into the parking lot and into the building. Following this horrific accident, the three people that were seriously injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Other individuals that suffered minor injuries were treated at the scene and released. The female driver was not injured in the collision, and there have been no reports of an arrest or citation.

The April 2nd accident was reported just before 8:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Antelope Valley Freeway, south of Agua Dulce Canyon Road. The accident sparked a small brush fire, which was quickly controlled by LA County firefighters. Two lanes of the freeway were closed following the collision while the CHP investigated. The collision then caused the motorcyclist to veer off the road and hit a utility pole.

The driver of the pickup, described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, fled the scene driving a white Ford F-250 or F-350 pickup truck made in 1999 or 2000. The fatal rear-end accident was reported around 7 p.m. on March 4, 2012, near San Fernando Mission Boulevard. According to a news reports, a Suburban rear-ended a stalled sedan, killing one of the occupants of the stalled car. Four people were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. CASTAIC -- A person died Monday morning in a crash on Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, the Santa Clarita Signal has reported. The fatal head-on collision was reported at 7:59 a.m. near Castaic Lake, and involved a Los Angeles County Public Works vehicle and another car. The driver of the Public Works vehicle suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the second vehicle died. Seven Pedestrians Injured at South Los Angeles Bus Stop

The devastating accident happened on a median next to the northbound side of Interstate 110. According to the CHP, the pedestrians were waiting for a bus when the driver veered into the bus lane, swerved to avoid hitting the back of a bus, and then struck the group of people.

Following this horrific incident, six pedestrians were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. Another was transported as well with minor injuries. The Buick then spun out of control and struck a 30-year-old Cal Trans worker (who was picking up trash on the shoulder of the freeway) and her vehicle.

One Killed, Six Injured in Compton Car Crash

LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- A Compton traffic collision left one person dead and several others injured Tuesday night, the South Gate Patch reported. The fatal accident occurred after 10 p.m. in the area of Alondra Boulevard and Harris Avenue, when a man, whose name was not released, was driving a Ford Excursion and crashed into a car that were carrying two women and four children.

Firefighters at the scene had to extricate one woman who was a rear seat passenger out of the vehicle. She was then taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwwod, where she later died due to her injuries. The other occupants in the vehicle - the other woman and four children - along with the male driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and were transported to various hospitals.

The fatal incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Towne Avenue and 6th Street when the driver was traveling north on Towne and hit the bicyclist crossing at 6th. Witnesses at the scene told police that the green SUV dragged the bicyclist for a half a block down the road.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the vehicle involved in this collision may be a Dodge or Chrysler SUV. Pomona police Sgt. Iain Miller indicated the vehicle sustained moderate to major front-end-damage and was last seen traveling eastbound on Mission Boulevard.
