Four people were hurt in a SUV rollover accident Tuesday afternoon in Barstow, the Desert Dispatch reported. The solo-vehicle accident, which involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee, occurred near the intersection of CA State Route 58 and Interstate 15. According to the CHP, the tread separated on one of the rear tires on the Jeep, causing the driver of the vehicle to lose control and veer off the freeway. Two of the occupants in the vehicle suffered major injuries and were airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center; two others with less serious injuries were taken by ambulance to Barstow Hospital. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the San Bernardino SUV rollover accident.

A 33-year-old man was killed Sunday night in a Ford F-150 rollover accident on Highway 58, authorities reported. The solo-vehicle crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. April 11th, on eastbound Highway 58, west of Borax Road. The CHP is investigating why the driver's vehicle drifted to the left and into the center median, where it overturned. The driver, who was not immediately identified, was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene of the Kern County crash. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, CHP officials said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fatal side-impact collision in San Bernardino County Sunday night that killed a 60-year-old Los Angeles woman. The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, was a right front seat passenger in a 2002 Lexus RX 300 travelling east on Highway 58. For unknown reasons, the Lexus veered into westbound lanes and was broadsided by an oncoming 2002 Honda Civic. The crash was reported around 6:35 p.m., about a half-mile east of Lenwood Road.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Barstow Community Hospital where she passed away. The driver of the Lexus, the driver of the Honda, and another passenger in the Honda were taken to Barstow Community Hospital. Another passenger in the Honda and another passenger in the Lexus were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Apple Valley with major injuries. The CHP's office in Barstow is investigating the cause of this fatal San Bernardino accident.
