Man Killed in Fontana Pedestrian Accident

Sierra Ave and Reed St - Fontana.pngSAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A 61-year-old man was fatally struck by a car in Fontana at about 5:44 p.m. Saturday. The Press-Enterprise reported that Domingo Nava was attempting to cross the street at Sierra Avenue and Reed Street, when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. After the collision, Nava was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Fontana where he later died at 7:22 p.m. due to his major injuries.

Cause of the Pedestrian Accident in Fontana

Based on the limited information provided by news reports, it is unclear what caused this crash to occur. It is also not evident whether distracted driving, drugs or alcohol, speed, negligent or reckless actions by the driver was a factor in the collision.
