Man Tragically Killed in Costa Mesa Pedestrian Accident

ORANGE COUNTY -- A man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a car Friday morning in Costa Mesa. The accident happened after 5 a.m. when the man, whose name was not released, was attempting to cross on Harbor Boulevard just south of Bay Street and then was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Based on the limited information provided by the Orange County Register, it is not exactly known why this crash occurred and who ultimately responsible. Therefore, the accident is under investigation by the Costa Mesa Police Department.
