One Tragically Killed and Three Injured in Riverside County Car Crash near Desert Center
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- One person was killed and a few injured after the vehicle they were riding in rolled over, The Desert Sun reports. The solo-vehicle accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. Sunday on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Desert Center. Following the collision, the 48-year-old pedestrian man was reported to have tragically died at the scene.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- According to KTLA News, two pedestrians were seriously hit by a car Tuesday in Los Angeles. Rabbi Samuel Jacobs, 59, and a Jewish activist Berish Landau, 88, were attempting to cross North La Brea Avenue at Oakwood Avenue when a 1999 Plymouth Voyager struck them. Both men were transported to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, where Landau, later died due to his injuries. Updated information provided by the Los Angeles Times indicated that Rabbi Jacobs is in critical condition as of Wednesday.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- Three people were injured following a single-car crash in Lake Elsinore, The Press-Enterprise reported. The accident occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, when for unknown reasons the vehicle struck a tree on Riverside Drive and Robertson Street. According to the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Patch, investigators could not identify the driver of the vehicle, and have come a conclusion that the driver may have fled the scene of the accident. However, after the crash, at least three individuals were transported with minor to life-threatening injuries.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A horrific car crash in Oasis left one person killed and four others injured. According to The Desert Sun, the collision was reported at about 11 a.m. Friday on Highway 86 Expressway at Avenue 81, when the driver of a van ran a stop sign and broadsided a Honda Civic. 
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A 56-year-old Florida trucker was fatally struck by a car on Friday, The Press-Enterprise reports. The trucker, James Frederik Kuhr, parked his big-rig on Francis Street and attempted to cross the roadway before being struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero making a left turn from Hellman Avenue onto Francis Street. Following this devastating incident, Kuhr was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Ontario, where he later died at about 12:46 p.m. Tuesday.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A man was tragically killed and another is in critical condition after being exposed to chemicals at a paint-manufacturing plant on Tuesday afternoon, Orange County Register reported. The incident happened before 2:30 p.m. at Vista Paints, on 2020 east Orangethorpe Avenue, when two men believed to be working inside a "tank" - or a confined area - were overcome by fumes. Authorities believe the chemical that may have caused the fumes is a paint stripper.
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A man and a woman pushing a shopping cart were dreadfully struck by a car in Victorville Friday night. According to The Press-Enterprise, the accident happened at 6:03 p.m. at 7th Street and La Paz Drive when the man, Jesse James, 47, of Victorville, and the woman, whose name was not released, were attempting to cross the street and then struck by an oncoming car driven by a 30-year-old woman.

The driver, Marcelo Rios, 19, was traveling at high speed along Jurupa Avenue east of Essex Street when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle. Then, as Rios was unable to maintain control of the car, the vehicle overturned and struck a metal utility pole.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A 5-year-old boy, whose name was not released, fell off a moving school bus Monday afternoon, The Press Enterprise reported. The accident happened in Coachella Valley at about 3:13 p.m. on 70th Avenue and Hayes Street near Highway 111. The exact details regarding this terrible incident were not immediately released. However, following the accident, the boy was airlifted to a hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident happened at about 9:35 a.m. on Adams Avenue at Bushard Street, when a 2002 Honda was broadsided by a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The occupants in the Honda was an 86-year-old man, and his passenger, Esther Kumasaka, 82, of Huntington Beach. 
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A pedestrian was fatally injured while crossing the Highway 62 at Geronimo Trail, The Press-Enterprise reports. The accident happened in the city of Yucca Valley at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday when the pedestrian was struck by a three vehicles. The cars that struck the pedestrian was a 2011 Infinity SUV and a 1987 Mazda pickup truck. However, the third vehicle was not identified due to fleeing the scene.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- A pedestrian was severely killed after being struck by several vehicles in Burbank. According to the Los Angeles Times, the pedestrian, whose identity was not released, was crossing the westbound lanes of the Ventura freeway near Bob Hope Drive when he was hit by multiple cars at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.
