SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A 31-year-old woman was viciously attacked by two dogs at about 10:35 a.m. Sunday, The Press-Enterprise reports. The woman, whose name was not released, was walking her pets along the 200 block of East O Street in south Colton, when two dogs, described as American bull dogs, charged and fought her pets, then attacked the woman. According to Colton police, an 11-year-old boy defended his mother by hitting to two dogs with his skateboard.
Following this tragic incident, the woman sustained several bites on her chest and on one of her legs. She was then transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton for further treatment. The dogs are being held at the San Bernardino city animal shelter, while the owners have been cited for several municipal code violations.

The October 16th dog attack in Colton remains under investigation by the Colton Police Department.
