Two Injured in State Route 73 Car Accident in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY -- A Thursday morning accident involving several vehicles shutdown the southbound lanes of Interstate 405 and left two injured, Orange County Register reports. The collision occurred in Orange County at about 6:20 a.m. on State Route 73. The vehicles involved were a Lincoln limousine, an airport shuttle van, a Hyundai Tiburon, a Toyota Solara, and a Ford Explorer. The specificity of how the crash occurred was not immediately available. However, based on the information that was given, indicated that the impact of the collision caused the Solara driver to be ejected from her vehicle while the Explorer overturned. Witnesses at the scene said the Solara was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident occurred. Following the crash, two female drivers in both the Toyota Solara and the Ford Explorer were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. No other information was released regarding the other drivers' injuries or if they sought medical treatment.
