SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- A Victorville man was struck and killed early Saturday morning on Interstate 15, The Press-Enterprise reports. The man, James Emmett Weatherford IV, 44, was attempting to cross the I-15 near Roy Rogers Drive in Victorville at about 1:11 a.m. when he was struck by a red 2011 Ford Fusion. According to authorities, Weatherford died at the scene of the accident. The name of the driver involved in the crash was not immediately available.
Cause of the Victorville Pedestrian Accident on I-15
Based on the limited information provided by The Press-Enterprise, it is unclear why the pedestrian was crossing the freeway. It is also not evident whether the driver of the vehicle was able to prevent or avoid the collision.
