RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident near the University Village Towers in Riverside, The Press-Enterprise reports. The young woman was walking at a marked crosswalk along West Linden Street just east of Iowa Avenue at about 9:13 p.m., when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The extent of the woman's injuries and her name was not immediately available. Police officials are currently searching for the driver of a silver-four-door sedan that may be involved in this accident.
