Man Struck and Killed by Car in Temecula

RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A man and his dog were struck and killed in the city of Temecula on Sunday, North County Times reports. The man, Dong Hwan Ihn, 81, was walking his Pomeranian dog along Deer Hollow Way, when a black 2011 Mazda 3 struck him and his pet around 7 p.m. According the police officials, the impact was so severe, it shattered the car's windshield. Following the crash, Ihn was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center where he later died due to his injuries at about 9:47 p.m.
