SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY - A 59-year-old New Mexico man was tragically killed early Saturday morning when the vehicle he was riding in overturned on Interstate 40, the Desert Dispatch reported. The accident was reported around 5:13 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011 near Essex. The victim was identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner as Laverne Tsosie of Crown Point, New Mexico. Three other occupants of the vehicle were flown to Las Vegas area hospitals. A fourth occupant was taken to Colorado River Medical Center in Needles. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
