The collision occurred at about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of 6th Street and Main Street. The girl, whose identity was not released, was walking at a crosswalk when she was struck by an oncoming eastbound vehicle. Following the accident, the girl was taken to Riverside Community Hospital and then transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center for further treatment of her injuries.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department described the vehicle that fled the scene as a black 1980s pick-up truck.

The accident, which was reported around 2:13 p.m. on southbound Jefferson Avenue, involved a blue Yamaha GYT-R motorcycle and a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse. According to news reports, the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Jefferson when the Eclipse made a U-turn into southbound lanes and collided with the bike. The motorcyclist flew over the car and reportedly appeared to have serious injuries and be in excruciating pain. He was rushed to Rancho Springs Medical Center. The woman driving the Eclipse was taken to Inland Valley Regional Medical Center.

Following the accident, the two individuals in the Nissan sustained serious injuries and were taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. An SUV hauling roughly 4,000 pounds of scrap metal in its flat-bed trailer, was traveling eastbound on Main Street near Pyrite Road when a tire from the trailer blew causing the SUV to veer onto westbound traffic and then colliding head-on with a Toyota Matrix. A third vehicle was also involved when a pick-up truck struck the SUV's trailer. According to Sgt. Linzy Savage of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Hesperia station, the collision occurred a little after 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Following this terrible accident, a total of seven people were injured. Three out of the seven people were flown to a nearby trauma center, while the other four were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. Three Pedestrians Struck by Car in Huntington Beach

According to Huntington Beach police Lt. Mike Reynolds, the driver possibly did not see the pedestrians as they walked in a crosswalk at a four-way stop. The impact of the collision caused the father and the 1-year-old infant to sustain minor injuries and bruises as they rolled over the hood of the car. The collision also caused the vehicle to go on top of the 3-year-old toddler's tricycle. The driver of the other vehicle, which investigators believe to be a tan or gold Toyota Camry or Volvo, was reported to have fled the scene of the accident. Women taking one of the affected pills should immediately being using a non-hormonal form of birth control. Currently, the faulty packaging poses no immediate health risks. Relative Accused of Molesting a Girl in Banning

RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A 47-year-old Banning man was arrested Monday afternoon for molesting a 2-year-old relative, The Press-Enterprise reports. The girl's mother came to the Banning apartment at about 2 p.m. in the 700 block of West Nicolet Street where she saw the man molesting her daughter. The mother, whose name was not released, confronted the man before he left the apartment. The man, identified as Antonio Garcia, fled from police, but was later found in the 600 block of West Ramsey Street. Garcia was arrested and book at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on suspicion of oral copulation of a child under 10 years old.

CHP Offering Free Driving Safety Classes to Temecula Teens and Parents

TEMECULA - The CHP will offer free teenage driving safety classes at 6 p.m. tomorrow (September 22nd ) and next Thursday (September 29th) at the Temecula CHP office located at 27685 Commerce Center Drive. The classes will cover the common causes of car accidents and what drivers can do to avoid them. Wildomar Motorcyclist Killed on Highway 138 in the Cajon Pass

Firefighting and cleanup efforts closed down two southbound lanes leaving only two open on the I-15, and therefore, causing drivers to seek alternate routes. During the I-15 massive traffic jam, a driver of the Ford Expedition made a U-turn on Highway 138 in front of a 2005 Honda motorcycle. The collision took place at 8:12 a.m. along the westbound lanes just west of Interstate 15. The impact of the collision caused motorcyclist, Keith Westhaver, 28, of Wildomar, to be ejected from his motorcycle as he broadsided the SUV. Police officials reported Westhaver to have died at the scene of the accident.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- According to The Press-Enterprise, three people were killed on Saturday in a head-on collision in Riverside. The driver of a 2003 Jaguar was traveling south on Interstate 215 when a CHP officer pursued him for a traffic violation. However, the driver fled from police by going the wrong way on a freeway off-ramp, which then caused him to collide head-on with a 2010 Nissan Frontier. The driver of the Jaguar was identified as a 26-year-old Moreno Valley resident, and his passenger's identity is currently unknown. A victim in the Nissan pickup was identified as Emeliano Perez, 53, of Moreno Valley, while the passenger's identity who is also from Moreno Valley was not immediately available. Man Accused of Sexual Assault in Lake Elsinore

Following the woman's janitorial duties, the man offered her a modeling job and as she was changing clothes at a place near the shopping center, the man sexually assaulted her. On Thursday, Valencia was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center in French Valley on one count of sexual battery.

Skateboarder Killed in Hit-And-Run Accident in Rialto

According to Rialto police Lt. Randy Deanda, Olagues suffered major head trauma and was reported to have died at scene.

Within eight hours after the accident, police found their suspect, 21-year-old Matthew Hudson. At about 3:30 a.m. Monday, Hudson called the Rialto Police Department and reported his car had been stolen. However, inconsistencies with his statement led police to arrest and book Hudson into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.

Two Men Killed in Arcadia Intersection Crash

LOS ANGELES COUNTY - Two people very tragically died Thursday in a horrific intersection collision involving a sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle in Arcadia, the Pasadena Star-News reported. The double-fatal accident took place shortly after 12:00 p.m. on September 1, 2011, at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Palm Drive, the Los Angeles County Coroner reported.

Nyerges died at the scene of the crash. Oster was taken by ambulance to Huntington Hospital, where he died a short time after arrival. Loma Linda University Medical Center Doctor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Patients

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY -- An urgent care physician, Ramon Fawzi Fakhoury, 35, of Norco, is accused of sexually assaulting his patients during examinations at Loma Linda University Medical Center, San Bernardino County Sun reports. A 32-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, went to the east urgent care campus in July to seek treatment for chest pain. Two days later, the woman contacted the hospital staff, stating Fakhoury sexually assaulted her during the exam. The investigation of the woman's complaint prompted the hospital staff to notice a similar incident regarding a 68-year-old woman who also complained Fakhoury sexually assaulted her during the examination. Both complaints were reported in a 24-hour period in July.

Following the allegations, the Sheriff's detectives investigated the claims and the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office filed charges against Fakhoury, which includes forcible acts of sexual penetration, sexual battery, and assault with intent to commit felony and crimes against an elderly adult. On August 30th, Fakhoury turned himself in at the West Valley Detention Center, where he was arrested on the charges filed against him.

Hightower was riding on her 1997 Harley-Davidson and traveling west on North Shore Drive when she was struck by a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep, Walter Campbell, 60, of Big Bear City, failed to make a stop at a stop sign as he was going north on Greenway Drive. Following the accident, CHP reported Hightower to have died at the scene.
