PACOIMA - Six people were injured, including three critically, in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Pacoima, the Los Angeles Times reported. The accident was reported on the eastbound 118 Freeway, near the 5 Freeway, at 1:36 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011, and involved a pickup truck and a small compact car. The pickup truck overturned in the collision. The three occupants of the truck, a 26-year-old woman, a four-year-old boy, and a 1-year-old girl, all suffered major injuries, and were taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center. The three occupants of the compact car, a man, a woman, and a teenage boy, suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the Pacoima crash. The initial reports indicated that the pickup truck struck a stalled compact vehicle. Further details about the cause of the crash and who was at fault were not available.
