LOS ANGELES COUNTY - A 23-year-old Burbank man died Saturday afternoon after colliding into another motorcyclist on the westbound I-10, the Burbank Leader reported. According to the newspaper, Kevin Butcher was riding a Ducati motorcycle behind a 29-year-old North Hollywood man on a Honda motorcycle. Both bikes were travelling at high speeds in excess of 90 mph, according to CHP reports. At some point, Butcher, apparently not seeing traffic slowing ahead, struck the back of the Honda, ejecting both motorcyclists from their bikes. Butcher was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. The driver of the Honda motorcycle, who was not identified by CHP officials, sustained major injuries, and was also taken to UCLA Medical Center. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The cause of the April 10th Interstate 10 motorcycle accident remains under investigation.
