SANTA MARIA - A 19-year-old Santa Maria man suffered "moderate injuries" Tuesday morning in a crash with a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, KSBY News reported. The collision was reported at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the intersection of East Jones Street and Conception Street. According to reports in the Santa Maria Times, Robert Larios, 19, of Santa Maria, was riding his 2011 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle westbound in the 1000 block of E. Jones Street. At the same time, Manolo Aguilar Medina, 22, of Santa Maria, was driving his 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Conception Street. Medina reportedly made a complete stop at the intersection but failed to see Larios, who had the right-of-way. Medina was not injured; Larios was taken to Marian Medical Center by ambulance.
