A bicyclist suffered major injuries Tuesday afternoon when he was broadsided by a vehicle at a Ventura intersection, the Ventura County Star reported. The car vs. bicycle accident occurred at the intersection of Ventra Avenue and Warner Street, at 1:03 p.m. on September 7, 2010. According to a news release, 54-year-old Curtis Reese was riding his bicycle westbound on Warner Street across Ventura Avenue, while 36-year-old Jason Friedman was driving a vehicle southbound on Ventura Avenue. Friedman's car collided with Reese's bicycle and Reese was thrown from his bike. He suffered major injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center where he was reportedly in critical condition. Friedman was not hurt.
