A 52-year-old woman in a wheelchair was seriously injured Wednesday night after she was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in South Los Angeles, police reported. The incident happened at about 10 p.m. Wednesday near 103rd Street and Avalon Boulevard. The victim suffered a broken right femur and other injuries and was hospitalized at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman did not stop and is now wanted for felony-hit and run.
