A 37-year-old Palm Springs man was killed in a traffic accident Friday afternoon, Palm Springs police reported. The victim, identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office as Ryan Wade Woosley, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Dina Shore when his motorcycle collided with a white Buick making a southbound turn. The Buick then collided with a BMW travelling north on Crossley Road. Woosley was ejected from his motorcycle and died at the scene of the crash.

The driver and a passenger in the Buick were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and a passenger in the BMW had only minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital. The cause of the fatal January 15 motorcycle accident remains under investigation. The Desert Sun reported the motorcyclist had a green light and the driver of the Buick failed to yield. Palm Springs police Sgt. Abraham Tokler told the newspaper that Woosley had a green light, was wearing a helmet and was not speeding.

Our condolences go out to everyone who knew and loved Ryan Woosley. Please keep his family in your prayers.

If reports of this accident are accurate, the driver of the Buick was at fault for the accident. The family of Ryan Woosley would be well-advised to consult with a Riverside County motorcycle accident attorney for a consultation of their rights in a wrongful death claim, while this accident remains under investigation. Even if the driver of the Buick is not cited by police for the collision, the family may still be entitled to compensation for their loss in a civil claim.
