The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of 17-year-old Deanae Weatherall, of Mira Loma, in a pedestrian accident Sunday evening (12-21-2009) on Highway 18 in Apple Valley. Weatherall had been walking with friends on the westbound side of the Happy Trails Hwy when she was struck by a Chevy Astro van at about 6:05 p.m. The accident occurred near Mana Road. She was taken by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she died at about 8:30 p.m.
The driver of the Astro van, a 28-year-old woman, remained at the scene. Sheriff's officials did not believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The cause of the fatal Apple Valley pedestrian accident is under investigation. Based on the facts reported in the San Bernardino Sun and by the San Bernardino County Coroner's press release, it is not clear who is at fault for this accident.

danae weatherall was walking with six other people at dusk they were in pairs she ran down two of the seven killing danae she jumped out her vehicle screaming why were you in the road there are no sidewalks in that area no streetlights apple valley is rural . i was told by apple valley police dept. that on outer highway 18 were the accident occured that pedestrians do not have the right away its they other way around vehicles have the right away when i asked was she arrested they said no she had not committed a crime
there are no rules or laws in apple valley to driving people always walk inthe road.you can just kill people in apple valley and not go to jail.look at the stats on people dying behind just walking down the road.ther should be some changes made there are no signs for drivers or pedestrians what is the rules or may i say law.thepolice pat you on the back and send you home after killing someone as long as you say i did not see them its ok you have not commiktted a crime
why is it in apple valley they have there own laws seperate from state.there are several cases where people have died young children hurt and the ditrict attorney never files charges against the driver.you can kill and get away with it.danae weatherall died in 12-20-09 the police dept still has not filed charges or released the police report.they said they are still investigating.they better do a thorough investigation because if they check her phone records they probably will see she was placing a call or texting that is why she did not see the seven pedestrians walking down the road the two girls had bright yellow sweaters and the one had a winter white jacket on does she need glasses was she on drugs did they give ablood test they said she was not under the influence of alcohol but how do they check for drug use.she had no remorse she got out of her big asto van yelling and cursing at the black pedestrians .
