Woman Killed in Indio Pedestrian Accident
RIVERSIDE COUNTY -- A tragic pedestrian accident left a 44-year-old woman dead Thursday night in Indio, The Press-Enterprise reports. The fatal incident took place on the westbound lanes of Indio Boulevard, just east of Biskra Street. The woman identified as Brigitte Jasso of Indio was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a motorcycle and then a black Ford Taurus. Following the accident, Jasso was reported to have died at the scene, and the motorcyclist was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for further treatment. The driver in the car along with her passenger was not hurt after the crash.

The fatal accident on Indio Boulevard remains under investigation by the Indio Police Department. RIVERSIDE COUNTY - At about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, a mother and son were severely attacked by a dog in Moreno Valley. According to The Press-Enterprise, the woman was walking with her son, 6, while pushing a stroller with a younger child along Indian Avenue.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A two-vehicle collision in the city of Moreno Valley left six people injured this morning. The limited information provided by The Press-Enterprise indicated the crash occurred at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Lasselle Street at about 10:58 a.m. Sunday. No other details were given regarding this horrible accident.
ORANGE COUNTY -- A 97-year-old pedestrian is suffering from life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a motorist in Garden Grove, Orange County Register reported. The pedestrian identified as Augustine Choi was crossing at a crosswalk at Brookhurst Street and Stanford Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, immediately stopped after the collision to aid Choi. Following the accident, Choi was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of his injuries.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A Palm Springs two-car crash left eight people injured including two children Saturday morning, The Press-Enterprise reports. The collision occurred at about 11:05 a.m. on Highway 62 at Dillon Road. After the crash, two children sustain critical injuries, two other victims suffered moderate injuries, and the other four victims sustained minor injuries. All eight of them were taken to a hospital for further treatment. No other information was given on how this horrible accident occurred.

The collision occurred before 5:30 a.m. Monday, when the bicyclist was hit by car while he was attempting to cross Waterman Avenue at 3rd Street.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A 63-year-old woman from Riverside died after she apparently fell from a sixth-floor balcony at a downtown assisted-living center, The Press-Enterprise reported. The accident happened at about 7 a.m. Sunday along the side yard of the Riverside Plymouth Tower Care and Living Center, which is located on the 3400 block of Lemon Street. Investigators are currently trying to determine whether the woman fell or jumped off the balcony. According to Southwest Riverside News Network, the woman identified as Marlee Brothers, died at the scene at 7:38 a.m.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY - A 62-year-old woman was seriously struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday night while she was attempting to cross a Moreno Valley street, The Press-Enterprise reported. The 6:15 p.m. accident took place at the intersection of Heacock Street and Kernwood Drive when the woman, whose name was not stated, was hit by a vehicle traveling north on Heacock. The woman suffered severe head injuries and broken bones after the collision.
